Master Charles Young Shin

Master Charles Young Shin has been instructing Tae Kwon Do since the early 1980′s. He presently holds the rank of 6th Degree Black Belt. He was named U.S. Competitor of the year in 1990.  Master Shin was honored as Instructor of the Year in 1995 by the World Martial Arts Masters Union (an association of 1100 schools world-wide) and again in 1996 by the United States Tae Kwon Do Union (an association of 2700 schools in the U.S.).

One of Master Shin’s proudest achievements was winning the U.S. National Tae Kwon Do Championship three years in a row; 1990, 1991 and 1992. He was also voted U.S. Team Captain in 1990. In 1992, Master Shin was honored to be a member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team.

Today, Master Shin’s main focus is building self-esteem and helping to improve health and fitness in today’s youth. He firmly believes, “People who feel good about themselves make the right choices.” Combined with his expert knowledge of martial arts and his educational background in child development, Master Shin has created a fantastic system in which individual students develop confidence by accomplishing realistic and attainable goals. Master Shin’s unique teaching style, which emphasizes positive reinforcement, has been so successful that instructors from across the country are emulating that technique.

We have been teaching martial arts and fitness for over 3 decades (Starting with Master Shin’s Father, Grand Master Shin) and 1000′s of people have benefited from our martial arts fitness programs.  Some of the martial fitness programs we offer include:
